Spotify now available as a Snap for Linux
Spotify the most popular streaming music service these days. While you can listen to it via its web interface, you can also install a desktop client of Spotify in Linux. This gives you some additional features such as listening to local music in Spotify, sync local music to Spotify server or sync local music to iPhone, iPod or other mobile devices. This news was announced by Canonical, the company behind the popular distro Ubuntu. The company explains that the Spotify snap “enables users to enjoy Spotify natively on all Linux distributions that support snaps including Linux Mint, Manjaro, Debian, OpenSUSE, Solus as well as Ubuntu.” If you are using a Snap-compatible Linux-based operating system, you can grab the Spotify Snap here.
